343 Industries has confirmed the launch of Season 2 for shooter Halo Infinite will land on May 3.

Entitled Lone Wolves, the developer previously divulged some of its contents last month. They include 1000 credits, far more customisation content and some new maps to name but a few additions. Arena modes will get Catalyst while Big Team Battle will see the introduction of Breaker.

The season will also introduce three new modes to the shooter. Last Spartan Standing is a free-for-all elimination mode, that comes alongside Land Grab and the return of an updated version of fan-favourite, King of the Hill.

The team at 343 Industries have also been addressing feedback from fans from the first season in a couple of Halo Waypoint posts. Some of these changes mean Season 2 will include higher value cosmetics like visors and stances. There’ll also be less of the items fans don’t seem to enjoy, such as emblems and backdrops.

Some of this feedback will also go towards work on future, yet to be dated, updates. 343 has confirmed that changes it has in the works include a Career Progression system separate from the Battle Pass. However, it’s only in the design phase and so won’t be ready for some time.

We also previously learned that Campaign Co-Op will not be ready at the start of Season 2, but at the time of writing the team are still hoping to get that out for mid-season. We’ll have to wait and see for now. Halo Infinite Season 2 Lone Wolves launches on May 3 for the game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
