“Halloween Ends” is billed not only as the ending of David Gordon Green and Danny McBride’s “Halloween” sequel trilogy but also the end of the battle between Jamie Lee Curtis’s Laurie Strode and her tormentor, the evil and seemingly indestructible killer, Michael Myers (played once more by Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney).
But, as so many horror stories that have come in the wake of the original “Halloween” have asked, can evil ever really die? Or, does it simply wait in the dark, watching patiently for it’s next moment to strike?
Or, in the case of the “Halloween” franchise, the next time a studio or filmmaker feels like resurrecting Michael Myers for another potentially lucrative cinematic killing spree.

What is the story of “Halloween Ends”?
Per the movie’s official synopsis:
“Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.“
