Grand Theft Auto 6 is finally becoming a reality. We’ve known about the game’s existence for several years, but the first-ever trailer is coming out in December. It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten a new mainline Grand Theft Auto installment, and, naturally, expectations are extremely high. Fans have all sorts of wishlists for things they want to see in the game, and some GTA 6 fans want to see a new car feature that actually makes perfect sense for the current climate.

Rockstar has confirmed that the GTA 6 trailer is coming out in early December. Geoff Keighley has sparked hype that it may happen at The Game Awards 2023, but most predictions suggest it will be independent of the upcoming event. Regardless of when it does release, here’s hoping it shows fans enough to satisfy their quench for details. We expect to see some of the open-world landmarks along with NPCs, and we also hope to get a look at the new protagonists along with hopefully a glimpse at the story.

Everyone naturally expects the game to be a ground-breaking masterpiece because of Rockstar’s reputation along with its reported budget. There are many features fans want to see, and one of them is the introduction of self-driving cars.

GTA 6 fans want to see self-driving cars

An addition Grand Theft Auto fans would like to see in GTA 6 is self-driving cars. On Reddit, the idea was posted to the community with overwhelmingly positive responses. One fan said it could utilize the cinematic camera mode used in Red Dead Redemption 2 while automatically riding a horse to a waypoint. Another fan said every other vehicle in the game is basically self-driving anyway, so it shouldn’t be too hard to implement.

Basically, in concept, the idea would be pretty much the same as the Taxi in GTA 5, but without a driver. It’s something that would make sense as self-driving cars have become a reality in real life with Tesla. It could basically operate exactly the same as RDR2 where you just pinpoint a specific spot on the map and have the car drive itself to the destination. It would also be really cool if, in first-person, you could just chill inside the car and mess about on your phone or do other activities.

Whether self-driving cars are in the game or not, there are bound to be dozens of vehicles ranging from cars to motorcycles. Self-driving machines would be neat, but obviously, the fun will come from physically driving like a madman who thinks he’s Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Cars will undoubtedly look more stunning than ever, and hopefully, they’ll be as immaculate on the inside as the out.

Again, there’s no release date for the GTA 6 trailer, but it is pegged for early December. The game will not be coming to PS4 or Xbox One, and Rockstar has said that its release window won’t be delayed by any ongoing strikes.
