October was a horrible month for Grand Theft Auto fans. There were dozens of theories that the game would be revealed in the month of Halloween, but nothing came to fruition. However, in extremely exciting news, Rockstar Games has confirmed that a GTA 6 reveal trailer is coming as an early Christmas present for everyone anticipating what will be the biggest video game release of all time.

As mentioned, Grand Theft Auto fans expected something to happen in October based on how GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were originally announced. These popular theories were further fuelled by the appearance of the game’s supposed Metacritic page, but fans were ultimately left disappointed come Halloween. Rockstar has been very quiet about the game, and all we have seen is removed in-development gameplay footage that emerged from an unfair leak.

While any previously seen footage of the game has been removed, we will be getting a trailer before the end of the year.

GTA 6 reveal trailer coming in December

Rockstar Games has confirmed on Twitter that a GTA 6 trailer is coming out in December. Signed off by Sam Houser, the tweet says it will debut in ‘early December,’ and it will be the first trailer for the game. This tweet came after Bloomberg‘s Jason Schreier reported a reveal for GTA 6 is coming ‘as early as this week’ with a trailer in December to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games.

The Bloomberg article mentioned no release window for the game, but its revelation of a December trailer has proven true. Rumors suggest Grand Theft Auto 6 will come out in 2025, meanwhile, more recent rumors suggest it will be released on PS5 and Xbox first with the PC version arriving after thanks to an alleged development delay.

Based on previously leaked gameplay footage, the game takes place in Miami and features two playable protagonists. You will switch between them similar to Trevor, Michael, and Franklin in GTA 5, and the Grand Theft Auto 6 protagonists are female and male. As for what fans would like to see, wishlists include an overhauled police AI similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as more wacky odd jobs as side activities.
