The scariest and most wonderful time of the year is right around the corner. Microsoft has delivered plenty of treats this month, but they also have a nasty trick up their sleeve this Halloween. There are dozens of fantastic games part of Microsoft’s subscription service, and one of its must-play masterpieces is leaving Xbox Game Pass on the final day of October 2023.

Before Halloween arrives, Xbox has shared the start time for their newest Xbox Partner Preview. This event is happening on October 25th, and the stream will focus on trailers for high-profile third-party projects. A lot of third-party titles joining Xbox Game Pass in the future will be included, too.

There are still more games coming to Microsoft’s subscription service this month, yet it’s a shame one of the greatest JRPGs is set to leave.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass October 2023

Below is the list of games leaving Xbox Game Pass before the end of October 2023:

  • Gunfire Reborn – Oct 31st
  •  Kill It With Fire – Oct 31st
  •  Signalis – Oct 31st
  •  Solasta Crown of the Magister – Oct 31st
  •  Persona 5 Royal – Oct 31st

From the above list, Persona 5 Royal is the biggest game set to leave Microsoft’s subscription library. It’s one of the greatest games of all time with its deserved 95 Metacritic score, and its immediate departure is a massive shame. It’s an incredible JRPG starring the renowned Phantom Thieves, and everything about the game is exceptional from its swift turn-based combat to its story and art style.

Although its impending departure is disappointing, the good news for JRPG fans is that Persona 5 Tactica is joining more huge day-one releases for Xbox Game Pass in November 2023. Not only that, but Game Pass is also getting the Persona 3 Reload remake when it releases on February 2nd, 2024.

While a nasty trick from Microsoft, they are also delivering a tasty treat just in time for Halloween. The Dead Space remake is coming to Xbox Game Pass soon, and it’s one of the best horror experiences you can enjoy if you desperately crave night terrors during Hallow’s Eve night.
