Epic Games’ battle royale has drastically changed since it first came out all the way back in 2017. We are currently in Chapter 4 Season 4, and the next episode is imminent. Nothing official has been confirmed as of writing, but a big Fortnite gameplay leak shows huge changes coming next month as we return to the original battlefield.

Despite no official news about the next episode, Epic Games has dropped big clues that it is returning to Chapter 1. The current battle pass says Chapter 4 Season 4 is set to end on November 3rd, and leaks claim we are indeed traveling back in time to the game’s infancy. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, leaks have also revealed significant gameplay changes that will drastically change the map.

Reliable Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, has shared significant gameplay leaks for next season in November. Not only are we returning to the Chapter 1 map, but this playground will constantly change and evolve as we cycle through the CH1 seasons. In addition to the OG map, Epic Games is bringing back the original weapons and loot pool.

Another big update is that Zero Build is set to stay. However, to make sure it’s playable, there will be zip lines placed all around the map. These will be exclusive to Zero Build mode only, and they should allow players to rapidly traverse around the battlefield. A return to the game’s roots is no doubt exciting, but it will reportedly only last a month, and it will end with a massive live event.

There are no details about the battle pass for the return to OG Fortnite. ShiinaBR says there surely is a battle pass because of Crew subscriptions, but it may have fewer tiers and rewards than usual. And that’s everything currently shared about the upcoming next season. It sounds amazing for fans who have been with Epic Games since day one, and it should be a pleasant trip before the next saga actually starts in December.

In other Fortnite news, the release date for the Jack Skellington skin has arrived with the Pumpkin King available to buy for 1,500 V-bucks. The Halloween festivities don’t end there as fans can also enjoy the Alan Wake Flashback Experience to ready themselves for Alan Wake 2 this Friday.
