It’s already been a great month for Microsoft loyalists part of gaming’s best subscription service. There have been some truly terrific day-one releases, but even more titles are joining the Xbox Game Pass October 2023 free games pool. These extra additions include the Dead Space Remake just in time for Halloween.
Microsoft keeps justifying its recent price increase for Xbox Game Pass. September saw giveaways of Starfield, Lies of P, and Payday 3, meanwhile, October 2023 has already added Forza Motorsport. Beyond this month of Halloween, the upcoming November 2023 free games selection is also mouth-watering, especially for fans of JRPGs.
We cannot wait for all of the freebies set to arrive next month, but there are still plenty of surprises to anticipate before Hallows Eve comes to an end.

Confirmation of all the above comes courtesy’s of Microsoft’s second wave lineup announcement. Although just a trial, UFC 5 is a huge addition as an EA Play account now comes free with all Xbox Game Pass subscriptions on console and PC. It’s the exact same for racing enthusiasts with this year’s WRC, only the car racing trial is simply five hours instead of ten.
Apart from the trials, Cities Skylines 2 is massively exciting for everyone who loves the original which is widely considered one of the best city builders and management sims of all time. Then, of course, there’s the Dead Space Remake which only came out back at the beginning of this year. It’s the absolute perfect game to play this Halloween if you’re up for terrifying frights and scares.
While all of the aforementioned games are set to join Microsoft’s subscription library in the immediate future, Call of Duty will eventually come to Xbox Game Pass in the further future seeing as the Xbox and Activision deal is finally complete. If you haven’t already, you can join Xbox Game Pass for £7.99/$9.99 per month on PC. On console it is £12.99/$16.99 per month.
