Fortnite Festival Season 5 is here and this time the featured artist is Colombian pop star Karol G, who is best known for tracks such as Qlona and Provenza. Karol G follows the previous season that saw the iconic metal band Metallica come to the game. Like Metallica, Karol G is set to feature in a new concert event and we now know when it will take place.

Epic Games has announced that the Karol G concert will take place on Friday, August 23rd at 3 pm ET/8 pm BST. This event will be similar to the Metallica concert in June, which sees players take part in numerous mini-games and sections as music from Karol G plays.

In a post on X, Epic Games revealed what to expect saying “Combat the darkness with the power of positive vibes in Karol G MSB Fortnite: a five-part playable concert experience, featuring an iconic setlist”

As with previous Fortnite Festival seasons, there is a new Festival Pass to unlock, which includes the Karol G Icon Series skin, Jam Tracks from artists including Afro Jack and Ava Max, as well as numerous other cosmetics.

Fortnite Festival Season 5 will end on November 1st, just one day before the end of Chapter 5 Season 4. Following this, it has been leaked that the legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg will be taking center stage for Season 6. Snoop Dogg is best known for tracks such as Gin and Juice, as well as his many collaborations with the likes of Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Wiz Khalifa, and Bruno Mars.

It has also been leaked that 2025 will kick off with NewJeans being featured in Season 7. When it comes to Battle Royale, alongside Snoop Dogg’s appearance in Festival, the core modes will see the return of Fortnite OG as the game goes back to Chapter 2 in November, followed by the start of Chapter 6 in December to wrap up the year.
