We are just a month away from another increase in V-Bucks prices in Fortnite. Epic Games announced this change on Tuesday night, revealing new prices that will go into effect in mid-October. Six countries and millions of players will be affected by the upcoming change, and here is everything you need to know about it.

V-Bucks prices are chaning in Fortnite

Epic adjusts V-Bucks prices almost every year, affecting millions of players. These prices sometimes go down, which was the case for Mexico last year. However, they mostly increase, as they affect countries that don’t use US Dollar as their primary currency. These changes are based on economic factors like inflation and currency exchange rates, Epic revealed in a recent blog post.

Cosmetic packs, like Sun & Scales Pack, will also be affected by this change. Interestingly, Epic Games will not change the price of Fortnite Crew in these countries. However, future real-money packs will have their prices adjusted when they come out.

To put this into perspective, the 1,000 V-Bucks pack currently costs 25 BRL (4.41 USD). It will increase by 28% next month, which will be equal to approximately $5.65. Fortnite players from Chile currently pay 5,750 pesos for the smallest V-Bucks pack, approximately worth $6.04. The price will go up by 17.2% or the equivalent of $7.08.

While prices of V-Bucks in many countries have gone up, this is not the case for the Philippines. Filipino players will pay less for Fortnite’s premium currency, which is fantastic news. The current price for a 1000 pack is 428 PHP, meaning that players from this country will be able to buy it for almost 18% cheaper soon.

These new V-Bucks prices will kick in on October 14, giving Fortnite players a chance to purchase the in-game currency at regular prices for another month.
