Several exclusive crossover cosmetics have graced the hallowed battlefields of Fortnite throughout the years, but none have arguably been as sought after as the Spider-Gwen skin. Introduced as part of the Chapter 3 Season 4 battle pass, Gwen Stacy’s iconic Into the Spiderverse outfit immediately became one of the most used costumes in the game and remains a popular outfit to this day. Unfortunately, its exclusivity as a battle pass skin means its long-awaited return is highly unlikely.

Though the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass has plenty of memorable cosmetic rewards, such as the Gold and Fancy Peter Griffin skin, the spiffy Family Guy-themed outfit still can’t outshine the Spider-Gwen skin as evidenced by the sheer amount of fans pleading with Epic Games to bring it back. Over on Reddit, several players are still holding out hope that the developers reintroduce it at some point, with one commenter even saying they “would pay $50 for Gwen.”

On the other hand, some fans pointed out that a Spider-Gwen outfit could eventually be added to the game, albeit in a completely different style. After initially claiming that the original Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara skins would likely be returning since “Marvel always [comes back] here and there,” the same player said: “[The original] version of Gwen was a battle pass, so [it will] never [return], but maybe an alt skin new or older version [could be brought in]?”

In addition, the post creator added this in a later response: “Didn’t [Epic Games] confirm that there will be alternate Gwen [skins]?” referring to previous reports that the developers would be bringing back different versions of the Spiderverse film franchise heroine. Unfortunately, these rumors have yet to be confirmed by Epic, so we recommend taking this information with a grain of salt for the time being.

With Sony’s next film in the series still far off and an announcement from Epic Games yet to be made, all players can do now is remain patient until the developers reveal these alleged new Spider-Gwen alt skins.
