If you’ve been playing Fortnite for a while, it’s guaranteed that there are a few skins that you just don’t use anymore. Whether you earned them and never gelled with them, or have simply forgotten you even have them, we’ve all got those skins we just never use. But that doesn’t mean that someone else won’t want them, especially if they haven’t got many skins of their own in the first place. So if you’re wondering whether or not you can gift your skins to another player, be that friends or family, we’ve put together a quick little guide to answer exactly that question for you.

Can I gift my Fortnite skins to other accounts?

As of 2024, you cannot gift skins that you own in Fortnite. There is not yet a trading feature in the game, meaning you can’t gift items that you already own. In fact, the only way to gift items in Fortnite is to buy them as a gift in the first place.

We’re unsure whether or not a trading feature will be implemented in Fortnite. On one hand, it could help people recycle their skins and surprise their friends. However, it could drive people away from the Fortnite store, which is the last thing that Epic Games wants to do.

Gifting a skin is the closest thing that we have to being able to trade skins in Fortnite. Sure, you won’t be able to get rid of your own skins in exchange for better ones, but you will be able to help your friends out by getting them something nice. They might deserve it after they save your life in a battle royale game. Besides skins, you can also gift your friends bundles and the Battle Pass. Unfortunately, V-Bucks gifting has not been implemented yet either.
