Many players believe that Fortnite live events are a thing of the past. Epic Games stopped releasing them, and no one knows when the next one will happen. Fortunately, the video game developer has exciting news about future events.

During Unreal Fest 2023 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Epic talked about many of its projects. From Unreal Engine to Fortnite and its UEFN integration, the company had an interesting presentation. One part of the presentation included live events, which is something many Fortnite players look forward to.

Epic Games had exciting news about this, and the next event might be just around the corner.

Epic Games is working on several Fortnite live events

According to reputable Fortnite leakers, Epic Games will release a new live event at the end of Chapter 4. This event is codenamed Durian and should come out in a few months. While this information hasn’t been confirmed by Epic, the latest event nearly confirmed it.

Grayson Edge, Cinematic Design Director at Epic Games, talked about Fortnite live events during his presentation at Unreal Fest 2023. The veteran employee shared the exciting news, saying that the company has been working on multiple live events in the video game.

“Currently working on some of the events that we do for Fortnite,” Edge said during his presentation. The Epic Games employee also hinted that the team was working on developing a narrative event, which will be about the storyline and a concert. Unfortunately, we don’t know when these will be released.

Considering that the new chapter is likely around the corner, we can expect the next narrative event in either late November or early December. The last Fortnite live event was The Fracture and it served as a conclusion of Chapter 3. Unfortunately, many players were disappointed with it and are hoping for a better event in the future.
