Epic Games is constantly working on improving Fortnite and adding more features to it. According to a new leak, Fortnite will soon get another big change. More specifically, Epic will once again redesign the user interface, adding a couple of new features. While the release date of this change hasn’t been leaked yet, it may arrive in the next season.
With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 set to arrive on May 24, Epic is getting everything ready for its release. The new season will bring a lot of new content, including map changes and a new Battle Pass. However, it won’t be surprising if the development team pushes out a couple of interface changes as well.
The latest Fortnite leak shows new features and changes
According to Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, Epic is working on new nameplates and social nudges. The leaker showed a screenshot of the work-in-progress feature, revealing its early version. The new nameplate will contain a couple of interesting details, including secondary names (nicknames), status, and a game name.
Considering that the upcoming redesign will feature a game name, it will likely allow us to connect with other Epic Games accounts more easily. Epic may even add a feature that allows us to quickly switch between Fortnite and a few other games, such as Fall Guys and Rocket League.
While the Fortnite leak doesn’t include a potential release date, we expect this feature to come out within a month or two. Epic Games has likely worked on it over a longer period, and it might be ready for a release soon. Due to this, the next season would be a perfect time for a big redesign like this.
It will be interesting to see how the community will react to this change once it comes out. However, considering that the online Fortnite community isn’t fond of changes, Epic may receive backlash for it.
