Another Winterfest event is coming to Fortnite this week! Considering how popular the event is, it’s no surprise that many players are excited. It will bring a lot of new content, from new limited-time items to map changes. In addition to this, players will be able to earn new cosmetics for free, including at least one new skin.
However, Winterfest is just one part of the upcoming update. Epic Games will add other things with it, including new cosmetics. So let’s take a look at everything that’s waiting for us with the v33.11 Fortnite patch.
When does the next Fortnite update come out?
The v33.11 Fortnite update will come out on Wednesday, December 18. Interestingly, this update will come out at 7 AM Eastern Time, a few hours after the usual release time. Furthermore, this will likely be the last major update in a while, as Epic will go on a company-wide winter break in late December.

- Map changes for both Chapter 6 and the OG islands
Keep in mind that many of these things will not be enabled right away. Instead, Epic Games will enable them periodically. A good example of that is the release date of Winterfest 2024, which is Friday, December 20. This means that the event will not be available right after the update, and we will have to wait for it for two more days.
Finally, Fortnite servers will go down in preparation for the update.
