The release date of another Fortnite Winterfest event is around the corner! Millions of players eagerly expect the event to begin, as it usually brings a lot of new content and free cosmetics. This will be the eighth such event in Fortnite, and Epic Games will release a special update for it.

When will Winterfest 2024 Fortnite event start
Epic Games revealed the release date of the Winterfest 2024 event on X (formerly Twitter). The company shared that the popular event will begin on Friday, December 20. In addition to this, Epic revealed how long the Fortnite event will last, as well as the return of the Cabin, one of the most popular features in the Winterfest event. This is certainly a pleasant surprise, as the cabin was not available in the previous event.
Winterfest 2024 will begin on December 20 and end on January 7, 2025. During this time, you will be able to unlock new cosmetics for free, complete limited-time quests, and enjoy the new content.
The name of the upcoming Winterfest event was also leaked, which is Wintervestigation. Furthermore, leakers claim that ice skates will come to Fortnite with it, which may also mean that Epic will bring big map changes. Blizzard Grenade, a new version of a snow grenade, should also be released, alongside the return of Snowy Flopper, Presents, and Peppermint.
The upcoming Fortnite event will likely have at least one free skin and many other free cosmetics. However, these haven’t been leaked yet, and we’ll have to wait for a bit longer to see what they will look like. For now, it seems that a new variant of Snoop Dogg could be one of these skins, as well as a new version of Guff.
