Is Football Manager 2023 Cross-platform and Crossplay?

Games that are available on crossplay are becoming increasingly popular, whilst games have appeared on a multitude of platforms for quite some time now. So that begs the question: Is Football Manager 2023 (FM23) cross-platform, and if so, does it support crossplay? 

What is Crossplay?

Before we answer that, first let us explain what crossplay is, just in case you’re unsure. Crossplay is the ability to play a game on multiple platforms with other players.

For example, a player on Xbox One could play with someone on PC or Nintendo Switch. This feature has become increasingly popular in recent years, especially with games that are available on multiple platforms.

Does FM23 have Crossplay? 

As far as we are aware FM23 does not support crossplay, if you have the Steam version of the game you can only play with your friends on Steam, the same goes for the Xbox edition. 

However, this is the first year the game is appearing on PlayStation 5, so we may see crossplay between both the PlayStation 5 edition of the game and the Xbox Series X|S edition. To know for sure we will have to wait for release on  November 8th. 

Is FM23 Cross-Platform? 

Although there may not be any crossplay with FM23, there is cross platform. The game appears on the majority of platforms, including mobile. This year it is also appearing on subscription services Apple Arcade and Xbox Game Pass.
