The World Cup kicked off on November 20, 2023, starting with hosts Qatar playing Ecuador. One of the most exciting things about a new international tournament, excluding the football, are the kits that will be on show. So we thought we would take a look at the best kits at the World Cup 2022.

Early Black Friday deals are starting to go live on Amazon & Best Buy. Big brands such as Lenovo and Samsung are also starting to offer Black Friday discounts early, with many more to follow.

Recently, we have seen very stunning designs. The Nigerian jersey for the 2018 World Cup comes to mind. Sporting brand giants Nike, Puma, and Adidas go head to head to bring spectacular threads to life for the World Cup, honouring the cultures and traditions of many nations.

To decide which designs take it home, we will consider cultural relevance, overall design, and cohesion between the Home and Away jerseys.

Best World Cup Jerseys in 2023

Brazil

Brazil’s Home Kit in FIFA 23

Brazil sports its classic tricolor jersey of green, blue, and yellow. While the jersey is largely unimaginative, it wouldn’t really feel like a World Cup if they were to appear in something different.

Brazil is the most consistent World Cup team appearing in every edition of the World Cup so far, and their jersey runs through the fabric of the competition.

Ghana

Ghana’s Home Kit in FIFA 23

The Black Stars of Ghana feature in the World Cup in smart white shirts with the National colours featured on the armbands and a black star of Africa crested on the jersey’s chest. A smart and simple design with a subtle cultural reference earns this jersey the fourth spot.

They may not be favourites for the tournament, but whether they go far or go out early, they will be doing it in style.

Argentina

Argentina’s Home Kit in FIFA 23

Argentina, alongside Brazil, are most likely the favourites for the World Cup in Qatar, and there is also a sense of destiny surrounding the squad.

Messi could, potentially, secure the biggest prize of them all and in this edition of the famous blue and white kit, it would look perfect. The blue away kit isn’t too shabby either.

Germany

If there is one thing you can be certain of at a World Cup, it’s that Germany’s kits will be amazing. Adidas always makes the kits for the second most successful team in World Cup history, and they normally get pretty far in the tournament.

Although they aren’t favourites this time around, you can never rule them out. Their Home kit is the stand out with the blocked out front, and the colours of the flag used as piping around the ages, the whole things comes together incredibly well.

Mexico

Mexico Away Kit

Both of Mexico’s kits are stand outs at the tournament in Qatar, but we have opted for the Away Kit here just because it is that little bit different. The kit is inspired by the Ancient Civilisations of Mexico, in an attempt to “summon the fighting spirit” of the Aztec Gods.

Japan

Japan Away Kit

We think, Japan arguably has the best jersey in the World Cup tournaments. The origami design on their jersey has received wide acclaim for originality, design, and cultural relevance.

The home jersey in its classic blue and white complements the away design and delivers a matching set for fans to enjoy, as well as spice up your Ultimate Team with our favourite kits in the tournament.
