We’re still in the very early stages of the EA FC 24 cycle and it wouldn’t feel like a proper EA game if there weren’t plenty of glitches to behold! You would expect a brand-new game to have been tested and play smoothly. However, we know that isn’t always the case. The latest glitch in EA FC 24 is a proper stinker, which leaves the goal open for easy tap-ins!
It’s only been a few days since the worldwide FC 24 release date, but various errors, bugs, and glitches have already plagued the latest title. There were even errors during the FC 24 early access period! However, the latest gameplay glitch could be the most infuriating.
This is because it is a very simple glitch that should never have slipped through the testing stages. It could also have a massive impact on results in FC 24 Ultimate Team, FC 24 Career Mode, or even FC 24 Clubs.
As shown off by the futtiesgram account on Instagram, goalkeepers have been disappearing from their posts! The video starts off with a positive gameplay change. Namely, goalkeepers are more likely to get booked and sent off in FC 24. That means no more rash challenges when rushing out of goal to stop an attack!
But then the clip takes a strange turn of events. After the keeper has received his second yellow, been sent off, and a penalty awarded – there is no player between the sticks! You aren’t given the option to sub in a goalkeeper to try to save the spot kick. Instead, the penalty taker can just roll the ball into an empty net!

We’ve only seen one video of this so far. That means we don’t know if the glitch will occur every time a goalkeeper is sent off in FC 24 or not, or how widespread the issue is. This is something EA needs to sort out quickly, as it could result in many controllers being broken!
It is likely that the glitch will only occur in FC 24 online modes, such as in Ultimate Team. This is because the ability to pause the game after conceding a penalty has been removed. By doing so, it stops users from quitting before their opponent takes a penalty which could get them a result in the game.
