A new trailer for the highly anticipated adventure RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2, has now been revealed during the June 2023 Capcom Showcase and the short preview gave viewers a glimpse of the “Pawns” you can controls and the monsters you’ll face. According to the game’s director Hideaki Itsuno, Pawns are AI-controlled units that’ll help you throughout your journey with the main unit being the one you can customize.

However, you’ll also be given the chance to “borrow” two additional Pawns from other players so you can have even more support when you fight against the mythical creatures found throughout the land. Keep in mind, though, that the maximum number of party members you can have is four, meaning you’ll have to choose who you bring into your group wisely.

With the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 being as wide as it is, your Pawns will also be able to guide you from time to time so you know where to go whenever you get lost. If you take down a particularly tough foe, they may even give you a high five that’ll surely keep your team’s morale up.

Additionally, the short snippet also gave us a few more quick looks at the creatures you’ll be seeing throughout as well as the different environments you’ll be exploring. It’s worth noting, though, that the game will only be available on current generation consoles, such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as the PC so you may need to upgrade your gaming rigs if you haven’t done so yet.

If you want to see the magic that’s in store once you drop into the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, then check out the trailer for yourself. We also recommend taking a look at some of the show’s other highlights including the announcement of an Exoprimal second open beta period and the Apollo Justice Ace Attorney trilogy reveal.
