Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year and looks poised to be a real strong contender for Game of the Year. We only have to wait a couple more weeks for the long-awaited sequel to release, but, if you wish to play about with the character creator, you can download the free Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo now available on PS5, PC, and Xbox.
March 2024 is full of massive video game releases yet to come out like the Star Wars Battlefront Classic collection, Alone in the Dark remake, a new South Park, and Rise of the Ronin, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the cherry on top. The game has been eagerly anticipated even before its reveal, and the gameplay trailers have only whetted the appetite of players all across the globe.
Again, the release date is a couple of weeks away, but, right now, you can play about with the game’s in-depth character creation suite.
How to download Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo
You can now download the free Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo for PS5, Xbox, and PC. For PlayStation you can download it from the PSN store, for Xbox it is available from the Microsoft store, and for PC it is downloadable from Steam.
It is not on PS4 or Xbox One because the full game is not coming out on last-gen platforms. This is because of the sheer scope of the game along with its graphical prowess.
As for what the demo is all about, it doesn’t include any gameplay other than creating a character in the creation suite. Not only can you create the look of the star of the game, the Arisen, but you can also customize the looks of your Main Pawn for your eventual fellowship.
Capcom says you can ‘store up to 5 characters of each, the Arisen and your Main Pawn respectively’. It’s easy to spend absolute hours in the character creation suite designing everything from heavenly beauties to hellish ugly monstrosities to walking animals that would drive furries crazy.
Best of all, come launch, you will be able to transfer your created Arisen and Main Pawn over to the full game.
The release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is March 22nd. You can pre-order it right now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It looks set to be another fantastic release from Capcom and it should be on the radar of every gamer.Â
