While Diablo 4 Season 2 is expected to bring a lot of refreshment to the action RPG, a number of fans are pissed that Blizzard still hasn’t given an update on a much-requested feature.

Members of the Diablo 4 community have been pleading for a Group Finder feature in the game since launch, to help them find other players to tackle the game’s quests, dungeons and more with other players. However, even despite a community tool picking up a lot of the slack, the silence on an official solution has had members of the Diablo 4 subreddit seeing red. BishSlapDiplomacy says “It’s the only reason I stopped playing. This game is akin to solitary confinement, I put in 150 hours and I feel I could’ve put in way more if I could find people to play with rather than going on Discord to LFG which feels like I’m living 15 years in the past.”

B1naryD1git is even harsher in their assessment, saying “It’s like a sick joke or something,” and as Frescanation points out “It’s a bizarre omission for a game that was designed with MMO like elements, and whose predecessor had a perfectly good group finder.” Gotchu_Bro also remarks that it’d make some of the new game’s more unique elements and seasonal content feel less of a chore “That’s how I feel too. I’d have way more fun farming helltides and NMDs with people. I would have never done bounties in D3 if they were solo, and GR/rift running was fun for hours with randos.”

It’s not as if Blizzard has totally ignored the suggestion in the past either, with the game’s director even saying they’d be open to adding a party system in the future when speaking in an interview with GamesRadar back in June. But Blizzard’s relative silence on the matter since then isn’t going over well. “It’s like when they made it open world instead, they couldn’t figure out how to integrate partying now that it is no longer based on instances and Bnet could just plop you into games,” says Jugulator. “But yeah the irony is that normally you’d make something open world to make it even more social than before. Not less. That’s just an awkward failure. And I think this omission isn’t brought up and commented on enough by Blizzard. It’s seriously making me stop playing the game.”

We’ll have to wait and see following the Diablo 4 Season 2 start date if any progress becomes clearer on an official party finder for Diablo 4.
