As part of the Diablo 4 team’s latest Campfire Chat, the developers have revealed that the goal of reaching level 100 will be “40% faster” in Season 2 compared to the grueling grind that was present in the first season. This should please a majority of the game’s player base, as many within the community felt that reaching the in-game pinnacle was a daunting task due to the lack of experience that slaying demons and finishing main and side quests provided.

It is worth noting, though, that the multiplicative experience bonuses will vary depending on your current World Tier. The most significant XP boost will naturally be available on World Tiers 3 and 4. However, this new system should also make it easier to reach level 50 for those just starting out in World Tiers 1 and 2. During the live stream, Diablo 4 game director Joe Shely said: “We also want players to get to level 100. It’s a goal that many players set for themselves, and it should be an achievable goal.”

“In Season 1, we saw that there were some players who were getting frustrated,” Shely continued. With this in mind, they wanted to make this task much smoother for all the players “who invest time in the season.” He also teased that “along the way, you’re gonna be having a lot more cool stuff to do,” pertaining to all the new enemies, bosses, and events that are included with the next update.

Other improvements that are set to make the Diablo 4 Season 2 level 100 grind much easier are the spawn time reductions for Legion Events, and World Boss spawns. Based on the information the developers provided, the time between Legion Events will now only be 25 minutes instead of 30 minutes. World Boss spawns received an even more significant wait time reduction as these colossal creatures will now be appearing throughout the overworld every 3.5 hours instead of six.

With all these exciting features set to arrive alongside the Diablo 4 Season 2 release date, there’s plenty to look forward to for fans of Blizzard’s dungeon-crawling ARPG.
