Diablo 4 players have been begging for a way to match up with other similarly levelled players since the game’s launch last month. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet if there has been any movement on Blizzard’s side to implement the feature, some fans have taken it upon themselves to provide some form of LFG tools for players.
Reddit user WeakDream shared a prototype video of what a Group Finding Tool could look like and said, “We created this short prototype to gauge interest in a tool like this for Diablo 4 (the gif is just a demonstration). It works best when more people use it since it relies on a live group-finding/matchmaking system. We are going to continue working on this and try to get a usable tool out before Season 1 launches. Please provide any feedback or advice you think is necessary for this to be a success.”
WeakDream also linked to a Discord community they’ve set up to provide regular updates on the Group Finder feature. Alongside this, the Discord also acts as a way of linking up with other players in the meantime. Players have been quick to note their support for the feature with one player saying, “Group finder would be awesome for hell tides and nightmares for old dudes like me with no friends.” Another player said, “This looks great man. I hope you can get it up and running soon.”
The tool itself would really help to amplify the social aspect of Diablo 4 that a lot of players have noted as lacking in the current version of the game. Just recently, Diablo 4 players complained that hell was lonely as requests for social features ramped up. Whether Blizzard will address these issues before the full LFG tool is released will remain to be seen. However, one thing is for sure, players want a Group Finding Tool to be implemented.
