It seems Diablo 4’s mysteries aren’t stopping just because some players have rolled credits, as it’s come to light the game features a number of hidden ‘post-credit’ scenes that a number of players are now finally seeing some two weeks after the game’s launch.

The scenes were brought to players’ attention by Blizzard creature artist Jamir Blanco, after he tweeted “Sounds like some people are finally starting to realise there’s a post-credit cutscene in our game…” followed by the imp and shush emojis. However, it looks as though these aren’t just standard scenes that have played for everyone finishing the game – which explains why they’ve largely gone unreported until now. Since Blanco’s tweet, a number of players have come forward to claim they’ve seen the scenes in question, with some providing video evidence.

As GamesRadar notes, there’s not yet a consensus about how these scenes are viewed, and they are indeed very brief. Many are under the impression they play only after the credits once you return to the game after finishing the story once, but even Blanco himself is unsure why the scene isn’t seemingly playing for everyone. Of course, major spoilers follow before we describe the scene itself here.

Still with us? The incredibly brief scene, which can be seen below, gives us a brief flash of a demon. It is in fact, similar to one of the visions the player character experiences towards the end of the game as they make their way to the game’s final battle against Lilith in the last Act. But as to the identity of the demon, Blizzard are currently keeping things under wraps, but alluding to the answer coming in the game’s post launch seasons.

Blizzard has promised plenty in store for Diablo 4’s post game, and the first season is expected to kick off at some point next month. In the meantime, Diablo 4 has a ton of stuff to do even after the credits have rolled.
