Diablo 4 beta world boss spawn times – when can I fight Ashava?

Diablo 4 Ashava World Boss

Diablo 4’s open beta features many demons to slay, and enemies to face – and perhaps none tougher than the new world boss Ashava.

Ashava is one of the game’s new World Bosses – giant monstrosities that will require many players to work together to take down – but if you do, the rewards are great.

Let’s break down what World Bosses are in the context of Diablo 4 – and then when you’ll be able to fight Ashava – in the Diablo 4 beta.

Diablo 4 World Boss – what is a world boss?

As the name implies – World Bosses are huge boss creatures that will appear at regular intervals in the overworld of Diablo 4 – but you’ll only be able to encounter them once you hit a certain point in the story.

However, once you’ve encountered – or even defeated them – they’ll keep coming back on a regular schedule, so you can defeat them for the chance of rare loot and of course, a bunch of experience.

Similar in effect to MMO bosses, they’ll provide a brand new challenge for players to take on – in fact, they’re a live activity that will require not just you and your party of four, but multiple parties to defeat.

In a PlayStation Blog, Blizzard also revealed that bosses will be suitable for all players – regardless of skill, class or experience. The more players attack a world boss, the quicker it’ll go down – and different classes will have to use different tactics to defeat each one.

You’ll also only have a limited time to take on a world boss – around twenty minutes – before they flee the battlefield, and won’t be fightable again until the next scheduled appearance.

Diablo 4 World Boss – which world boss is in the beta?

In the Diablo 4 beta, there’ll be just one World Boss to take on – by the name of Ashava. They’ll show up four times over the course of the beta – so you’ll have four chances to take them on and prove your mettle.

If you’re successful – you should be able to nab a bunch of legendary loot for your open beta character. Though this loot won’t carry over to the full game, at least you’ll have bragging rights and prepared for when Ashava returns in the full launch this June.

Ashava won’t be easy to take down, but if you fancy your chances – here’s when they’ll be in the beta.
