The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 beta has now come to an end. It was a bit of a mixed-bag experience as there was as much praise as there were criticisms. With the full release date quickly approaching, some fans are begging Activision to better balance the Call of Duty MW3 guns before launch.

It’s important to note that the beta is not fully indicative of the final Modern Warfare 3 experience. Granted, it won’t be massively different, but Activision will implement changes following feedback from the community. In addition, none of your beta progress will carry over to the full release, and, of course, the full game will not be free-to-play, unlike the open demos.

Plenty of fans are still aboard the hype train leading up to the game’s release date, but some soldiers are admittedly teetering on abandoning ship. One of the biggest complaints from the community is that guns need to be better balanced so that some weapons are not unplayable.

Activision must balance these Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 guns

Some Call of Duty fans are pleading with Activision to balance guns before the release date. OP FinanceEfficient7269 has bemoaned shotguns as ‘essentially point blank snipers,’ meanwhile, snipers are too overpowered with 30+ rounds.

Many commenters agreed with the OP’s post, but some believe that Activision won’t perfect TTK or weapons balancing until a season 1 patch. This suggests things won’t be finessed until possibly December. Other commenters agreed that ‘shotguns need a buff,’ while ‘every category needs rebalancing, except snipers need auto-aim turned off and most of their quickscope build parts removed’.

There is also concern that weapons from Modern Warfare 2 will be unusable. This is because fans are worried that Activision will not tweak MW2 guns at all. Another fan criticized the longbow as ‘utterly disgusting during the beta‘ thanks to its 25 rounds and its ADS quickness. User SaviD_Official is not convinced by TTK at all. They feel it’s going to be really bad with inconsistencies across 100+ weapons from day one of release.

The release date for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is November 10th. However, it’s possible to get early access to the campaign from November 2nd. Along with criticisms of overpowered weapons such as the longbow and sniper, as well as underpowered ones such as the shotgun, fans have also unanimously agreed that the worst map is Estate. Not only that, but some players are canceling their pre-orders following the completion of the Activision and Xbox deal.
