Like previous CoD entries, Black Ops 6 will predictably have a limited beta reserved for those who purchase it early. Typically, these pre-launch periods happen a couple of weeks ahead of the game’s actual release and last a few days. Now, Activision and Treyarch haven’t yet revealed when the BO6 beta will begin. However, a GAME UK listing may have let slip when it’s taking place, and according to the leaked dates, it’s arriving sooner than you think.
Based on the previously mentioned GAME UK listing (as shared by BobNetworkUK on X), the Black Ops 6 beta period will occur from August 28, 2024 – September 3, 2024. That gives players who pre-order the game six entire days to play it early ahead of its launch. And since the Black Ops 6 release date is allegedly taking place at some point in October, this pre-release period is crucial for anyone who wants to experience the new round-based Zombies mode ahead of time.
No matter how likely it is to happen on these dates, though, we’d still recommend taking this information with a grain of salt. Activision and Treyarch have yet to confirm it, so they could still change it ahead of time. However, one thing does remain certain: if you want to play Black Ops 6 early, you’ll have to place your pre-orders before the beta period begins. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the game’s launch, which will take place much later.
While you wait for official confirmation on the Black Ops 6 beta, check out some of the teasers Activision has provided so far. The Black Ops 6 multiplayer sneak peek (revealed at the Xbox Showcase) may have given us a look at a class with wall hacks. The Black Ops 6 campaign also got a lengthy segment in the same trailer, and it’ll feature a few characters that series fans should be familiar with.
