Call of Duty fans have a lot to anticipate for the very near future. Not only is Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 right around the corner, but there is also rumors that we will get the reveal of CoD 2024 before Microsoft’s Xbox summer showcase. While this reveal has not yet happened, the Call of Duty 2024 Black Ops 6 release date has already leaked, with a very convincing source: Xbox themselves.
Although not confirmed, it’s heavily rumored that the upcoming new Call of Duty installment takes place during the Gulf War. Over 100 guns, streaks, and perks have leaked, and leaks also suggest the campaign is poised to be Activision’s best ever. In addition, there are leaks suggesting the game’s version of zombies will be a throwback to the mode’s glory years.
There are plenty of exciting details unearthed about the game that should have the CoD community excited, especially after the disappointment of Modern Warfare 3. The game should be revealed soon, and its release date is pegged to fall in line with previous iterations in the series’ history.
Leaked Call of Duty 2024 Black Ops 6 release date
The possibly leaked release date for Call of Duty 2024 Black Ops 6 is October 25th. This comes directly from the Microsoft Xbox store, which had pre-emptively posted information including the release date, 16 new maps, and the confirmed return of Zombies. An open beta is coming, and IGN posted the leak on their website.
In addition to Insider Gaming, The Verge has reported about Microsoft’s plans to bring Call of Duty to Xbox Game Pass. In their report, it’s mentioned that “Activision is currently targeting a late October release”.
CoD installments typically launch on Friday, as seen with Modern Warfare 3 releasing on November 10th, 2023, and Modern Warfare 2 on October 28th, 2022. Seeing as CoD 2024 is reportedly touted for late October, a launch date of October 25th makes sense as it will be the final Friday of the month.
Leaked pre-order details have revealed early access bonuses. Assuming there is early access to the campaign once again, this typically lasts one week. Modern Warfare 2 early access launched on October 20th, meanwhile, Modern Warfare 3 early access released on November 2nd. This is purely speculation, but, assuming history repeats itself, early access for CoD 2024 would launch around October 16th.
It’s important to note that nothing has been confirmed yet. There are reports that the new CoD will be revealed before the end of May, but we are yet to see anything from Activision. After the supposed reveal this month, the game will then be shown off during Microsoft’s Xbox summer showcase in June.
Nothing is official yet, but there are reports that Microsoft intends to bring Call of Duty Black Ops 6 to Xbox Game Pass from day one. This would be fantastic news if true, but right now it is not official.
