It looks like we may have a release date for the eagerly-awaited Jack Skellington skin’s arrival in battle royale shooter Fortnite, thanks to a couple of prominent Fortnite leakers.
The Disney character is the latest crossover character to come to the island, as the ongoing Fortnitemares 2023 event will see the lead character of The Nightmare Before Christmas come to the island. While we knew we wouldn’t be waiting too much longer, it looks like he’ll be bolstering up the shop during the week of Halloween itself on October 23 during the daily shop refresh, according to reliable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, giving this an added layer of likelihood. However, the date is still to be officially confirmed by Epic themselves, so there’s still a possibility plans could change.

Fortnite Jack Skellington release date prediction
According to ShiinaBR, who corroborates the information uncovered by SpushFNBR and NotPaloleaks, Jack Skellington will be available to purchase from the Fortnite store on October 23 at 8pm ET – that’s 5pm in PT and 1am BST in the UK. Again, it’s important to note we can’t say this is a guarantee, because Epic haven’t confirmed this time yet – but for the most part, these leakers have been fairly accurate with their claims in the past, so we’re willing to predict that this will be the case.
Jack Skellington won’t just be bringing his skin (or lack thereof) to Fortnite when he arrives, as there’ll also be a bunch of Nightmare Before Christmas cosmetics for players to buy. They include a Zero Back Bling, Peppermint Parasol Pickaxe and Jack’s Sled Glider, as well as two themed emotes for players to pick up in the form of the Jack’s Scary Face Emote (which can only be used with the outfit) or the Lock, Shock and Barrel’s Tub Emote. Naturally, the bundle will also contain an alt-style for Jack, with him donning his Santa Claus getup.
Whenever he does arrive, he’s sure to be a popular choice – though the incoming V-Bucks price rise may be casting a large shadow over the celebrations. Still, there’s some free Fortnitemares 2023 skins to get too. We’ll update when we get an official word on when Jack is on his way.
