Banjo and Kazooie, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s third DLC fighters, are now live and Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai released a video showcasing their abilities in action.
Banjo and Kazooie will use retro moves and taunts for their fighting style in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For example, their dash is the Talon Trot in which Kazooie will speed along the ground. Kazooie will fly and act as the duo’s jump ability, and Banjo will Claw Swipe attackers as their neutral attack. A few of Banjo and Kazooie’s moves and tracks have been updated for the game, for example, the Bill Drill animation shows that it’s now a consecutive attack move.
After covering the new fighter’s gameplay, Sakurai had even more announcements for us. Mii Fighter move sets may be customised, but this feature will only be available for Miis created after the Version 5.0 software update. Additionally, new Mii Fighter costumes are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, including Goemon, Proto Man, Zero of Mega Man X, Team Rocket Grunts, and Sans from Undertale.

Yep. Don’t let your memes be dreams. The Sans costume will also come with a Megalovania track composed by Undertale’s creator Toby Fox. Sakurai revealed that he’s played against Fox in Smash when he came over to his house, and that Fox is one of the best competitors he’s battled against.
