Focus Entertainment has dropped a new gameplay overview trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem, giving fans an insight into the adventure follow up.

A Plague Tale: Requiem release date and story details

Focus Entertainment has confirmed that A Plague Tale: Requiem will launch on October 18 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Picking up just a few months after the end of the last game, Amicia and Hugo are enjoying the relative peace in 14 century France. Even the latter’s affliction lays seemingly dormant.

However, Hugo’s been having dreams of a mysterious island. Once the plague decimating the land shatters the peace, the pair are forced to flee.

Amicia believes the only way to cure her brother is to escape the oncoming Black Death – and the Inqusition chasing them. To do that, they’ll have to find that island.

Once more, you’ll play as both the brother and sister in different sections. Amicia is toughened in combat and stealth. Hugo meanwhile, is able to use the plague to his advantage.

His affliction affords him some gnarly powers. It’ll come at great cost, but he’ll be able to control some of the rats to take down your foes. Not a nice way to go.
