A new report on Nikkei (via Gematsu) has claimed that Nintendo will launch a cheaper version of the Switch later this year.
According to the report, the new Switch model is geared towards portability, although you can still play it on a TV set by docking it if you want.
In addition, the Big N is also reportedly beavering away on a ‘next-generation device that is a full model change of the current hardware,’ which will launch at a later date.
The news comes following a report in March by The Wall Street Journal, which said that Ninty would launch two new Switch models this year. Prior to that, Nikkei claimed that a new version of the hybrid console would arrive as early as summer.
The Switch launched in March 2017 and has sold over 32 million units worldwide.
