If you’re about to jump into the world of Solaris-3, you might want to know about Wuthering Waves cross-progression and crossplay functionality between its available platforms. Currently, Wuthering Waves is playable on iOS, Android, and PC. A PS5 version is confirmed to be in the works, but is currently unreleased. This is how Wuthering Waves cross progression works and what you need to know.
Is Wuthering Waves cross platform?
Wuthering Waves supports cross platform gameplay and progression. This information has been confirmed by Kuro Games on the pre-download FAQ page before the game launched. This simply means that you can start an account on your PC, play and get to a certain spot, and then log into the same account on your phone to continue playing. This also works the opposite way, too. The only caveat for cross platform progression is that you need to select the same server when you log into your account on a different device.
The important part is to always use the same user ID and then select the server you have your progress on. So, if you start a new game on the Europe server, for example, on your phone, your save and progress will be stored there even when switching to play on PC. If you switch to the America server, while still using the same user ID, you will launch into a fresh new game. When logging into the game, you will see the option to select your server. So long as your user ID and server match, you’ll be able to play your main save regardless of your preferred platform.
There are five servers to choose from – America, Asia, Europe, HMT and South East Asia – and you’ll always need to be on the same server as your friends if you want to play multiplayer together. Since progress isn’t shared over different servers, this is a good way to re-roll without making a brand-new account.
