Wuthering Waves has been excellent since its release last year, and right now fans are enjoying chapter 2.1. This has introduced new characters Phoebe and Brant, and in March we will move onto chapter 2.2. Kuro Games’ second saga will last for quite awhile longer, but leaks have already emerged for 3.0. According to these leaks, Wuthering Waves 3.0 will have a new region seemingly inspired by the most iconic Final Fantasy of all time.

Wuthering Waves 3.0 leak reveals new Final Fantasy inspired region

A Wuthering Waves 3.0 leak has been shared on the WutheringWavesLeaks subreddit. This leak originates from the Chinese platform Tieba, and it has been roughly translated by OP, RottingLeek. There may be some inaccuracies with the translation, but the leak alleges there will be a new region in 3.0 that is sci-fi themed and similar to Midgar from Final Fantasy 7.

According to the leak, the region is called New Fedoration, and it’s a “technologically advanced country with a huge gap between the rich and the poor”. It “focuses on technological development and chemical research, but the echo tech is average”.

While not a confirmed leak, it’s also stated “Mecha characters may appear thanks to the previous survey on your favourite type of characters”. Lastly, in a point corrected by the OP in the replies, the leak claims there will be companion quests for Verina and Calcharo.

Remember that this is only an alleged leak rather than anything official. A new region with sci-fi themes similar to Midgar from Final Fantasy 7 sounds incredibly exciting, but, even if true, we will have to wait quite a long time for 3.0 to even arrive.

Right now, we are in the middle of chapter 2.1, and episode 2.2 is expected to launch late March. As for when 3.0 will arrive, we’re looking at 2026.
