Fortnite released an epic crossover event with the famed kaiju Godzilla, bringing not just one, but three legendary beasts into the Battle Royale. The new Godzilla Evolved skin, available via the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass, allows players to take on Godzilla’s frightening appearance from the Monsterverse skins.
Along with Godzilla, the game has included King Kong and Mechagodzilla, each with their own distinct skins. The collab extends beyond cosmetics as during matches, players have the opportunity to turn into Godzilla where they can assume control of the King of Monsters by entering a unique portal that appears randomly on the map and unleashing his terrifying skills such as Roar, Mighty Stomp, and Heat Ray.
However, this transition is not easy to achieve as these portals are quite hard to come across and only have a 40% chance of spawning in a match. At the same time if you’re lucky to get one, to find its location is just as hard. Luckily, we’ve pinpointed each possible location on the Fortnite map where a Godzilla portal can appear.
All Fortnite Godzilla portal locations on Chapter 6 Season 1 map
In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, there are seven possible locations where a Godzilla portal can spawn in a Battle Royale match. This also means that only if your matchmaking lobby is within that 40% spawn chance of a portal, and you see a prompt on your screen that says “Godzilla Portal Open”, it is located at one of the locations in the map below.
If you want to know the exact POIs where this portal may appear nearby, the table below lists all 7 Godzilla portal locations in Fortnite.
Godzilla Portal | Where to find |
---|---|
Hopeful Heights Portal | Right on the road next to the Octopus Restaurant in Hopeful Heights POI |
Masked Meadows Portal | Next to the lake, east of Masked Meadows POI |
Seaport City Portal 1 | On the road headed south of Seaport City POI |
Seaport City Portal 2 | On the train tracks across the bridge running north of Seaport City POI |
Pumped Power Portal | Near the trees placed on the southeast side of Pumped Power POI |
Lost Lake Portal | Right next to the house located south of Lost Lake POI |
Battle’s End Portal | Located southeast of Nightshift Forest POI |
It is advisable to land at the POIs mentioned in the table above in case you’re expecting the Godzilla portal to appear in your match. This is because the first player who enters the portal turns into Godzilla himself.
So it’s best if you land closest to one of the portal spots so you’ll have a higher chance of entering the portal first and becoming Godzilla before anyone else does. However, keep in mind that these locations do rotate across matches so you may not find the same portal location the next time it appears in a Fortnite match. But if you’re looking to defeat the monster, we’ve got the best tips for you at hand right here.
