You don’t need to remove or exit from the Riot Vanguard app just to uninstall Valorant. Instead, all you need to do is fully close the Riot Client from your Task Manager.

It’s worth noting that you won’t have to uninstall the Riot Vanguard anti-cheat app to remove the game from your system. Instead, the most important thing you’ll need to do before you go and uninstall Valorant is to make sure that the Riot Client isn’t running in the background by closing it through the Task Manager.

Like many others, we also had a frustrating time figuring out why we couldn’t remove the game from the PC since merely pressing the uninstall button through the system settings didn’t execute the process. Luckily, the iffy removal process is only caused by the Riot Client not being fully closed, which means you’ll need to end it through the Task Manager each time you want to remove a Riot Games-developed game, like League of Legends or Teamfight Tactics.

  • Sign in to your Riot account.
  • Click the link and wait for the installer to finish downloading.
  • Once the Riot Client is downloaded, install Valorant through the app.

There are a few ways you can reinstall Valorant on your PC. The first method includes visiting the game’s official site. Once there, sign into your Riot Games account and hit the “Play Free” button at the top of the page. Finally, click the “Download” button on the subsequent page.
