If you’ve been itching to experience Riot Games’ visually arresting FPS, you may, at some point, have asked: Is Valorant on Xbox? Well, you won’t have to search any longer because we’ll provide all you need to know here. Valorant continues to be one of the genre’s most popular installments, so gamers – those on consoles in particular – are eager to experience it on their preferred system.

Naturally, long-time players aren’t as shiny-eyed about the Riot Games shoot ’em up any longer, as many have also been looking to learn how to uninstall Valorant. If you aren’t quite jaded with the game yet, though, you can keep reading instead to find out whether it’s playable on Xbox.

Can you play Valorant on Xbox?

Unfortunately, no. You cannot play Valorant on previous or current-gen Xbox consoles. It also isn’t available on PlayStation either, meaning you can only access the game on PC at the time of writing. However, this may not be the case for long since Riot Games has already introduced Valorant to the Xbox PC Game Pass catalog.

You can unlock all agents by playing Valorant on Game Pass

Though Valorant is a free-to-play game, you can subscribe to Game Pass to play it on the Xbox app as well. This unlocks all current and future agents and also gives you a 20% match XP boost to Battle Pass and Event content.

Though this doesn’t necessarily indicate Riot Games’s plan to bring it to Xbox and PlayStation platforms, its inclusion in the popular subscription platform suggests the developer’s willingness to explore different avenues of bringing their popular game to the masses. Of course, take this information with a grain of salt since this is still merely speculation, as the Valorant team has yet to announce plans for a future console release.

When is Valorant coming to console?

As much as I and every other FPS fan would welcome the chance to frag out with a controller in hand, Valorant won’t be coming to consoles for now. Riot Games hasn’t revealed any plans to port their beloved shooter to typical household gaming systems, and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be doing so any time soon, especially after last year’s tease.

For those unfamiliar, in August 2022, a notable CoD leaker shared an image that apparently saw the developer add new Valorant icons to PlayStation and Xbox game files. More than a year later, a console port still hasn’t surfaced, meaning this leak may have been nothing more than a red herring.

It is worth noting, though, that Riot Games currently has a job listing up for a Senior Software Engineer – Valorant Console Developer Experience. This may be the biggest indicator yet regarding the developer’s plan to finally launch the game on PlayStation and Xbox, but you’ll have to remain patient for now until it’s actually confirmed.
