The Finals has launched with four maps to play, adding one new map to the list when it officially released in December. Now we know every map currently in the game and each variant it has.

If you played the open beta, you’ll know all maps in The Finals are almost entirely destructible when it comes to buildings, walls, and floors. Suffice it to say, you can do a whole lot of redecorating during games.

With so much creative freedom to destroy the buildings, learning the maps and the variants each one has will help you in The Finals. For more, make sure you read our guides covering aim assist in The Finals and whether you can play The Finals on Steam Deck. Now, on to all maps in The Finals.

Protecting the vault in The Finals

There are four maps in The Finals, and these are Las Vegas, Monaco, Seoul, and Skyway Stadium. Las Vegas is a new map that was added for the launch of the game, while the three other maps have been in the game since the open beta tests.

Four maps FOR now…

The Finals has launched with four maps and nine variants. It could be the case that we see more maps added during each season. The frequency of this is hard to predict, but you should always keep an eye out for any news from the developers.

While there are four base-game maps, each one of these maps has several variants to them, which change the layout and visuals of each map. This can also turn out to be altered weather, or maps during different times of day.

The Finals all map variants

There are seven variants available in The Finals, and they are randomly chosen when you launch into a game. Each variant gives the map a certain modification, which can include changes to the environment such as obscuring fog or a variant where most of the buildings are under construction.

While they aren’t drastic changes, the maps will be tweaked enough to give you an extra layer of challenge in most cases, and it makes it harder to fully understand a map if it takes place in a variant you’re not used to. These are all the variants a map can have, with only one being active at any time:

VariantEffect
Standard IssueA standard arena, ready for destruction
SandstormA sandstorm will obscure the map (Vegas only)
Tripwires and TurretsThe environment can work for or against you. Traverse Vegas but watch your step, around every corner could be a trap. (Vegas only)
Under ConstructionPart of the arena is currently under construction
Moving PlatformsVaults of cashout stations could be found platforms moving around the arena
Suspended StructuresCashout stations are suspended high above the arena
Duck and CoverOur duck mascot has decided to crash the party and crush the arena
Up Down Left RightCashout stations could be suspended or on the move
High RiseThe middle part of the arena is elevated

As far as we’re aware, the Sandstorm and Tripwires variants only take place on the Las Vegas map, as per the patch notes for the launch of The Finals.
