How to beat Gloom Hands fast in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

There are a number of ways to kill Gloom Hands in Tears of the Kingdom, but the easiest way is to stand back and deal damage from far away via your bow and arrow.

To stop them from coming back, use an ice arrow (which you can do by fusing ice fruit with an arrow) which will freeze them. Then aim for the hand and fire another arrow, this time a normal one. Failing to do this risks the Gloom Hands coming back.

We advise keeping your distance as you’ll take massive damage if the hands grab you. If they do mange to get hold, they’ll deplete your hearts quickly. Make sure you’re making the most of Link’s dodge ability if they do get close. We recommend standing on a ledge and then throwing bomb flowers at them. Don’t bother trying to take them out unless you have a lot of health as, if this is your first encounter with them, you’ll have the Phantom Ganon boss around the corner and he’s incredibly tough.
