As the leader of Constellation, she’s one of the most prominent NPCs you’ll come across early in the game, and likely the companion you’ll take with you on your first few missions. And if you’ve taken a shine to her, then you might be wondering how to marry her, which is why we’re here to take you through it step by step.

How to romance Sarah Morgan

Before you can begin romancing Sarah, you first must have started The Old Neighborhood main mission at The Lodge in New Atlantis. This will let you recruit Sarah as a companion. From here, there are several things you should make sure to do, that you would do with other companions too. Our Starfield romance guide goes more into detail about this generally, but essentially it boils down to doing things that Sarah likes and avoiding things she dislikes.

Doing things she likes will raise your affinity with her. This typically involves things like helping people in need, expressing interest in science and exploration, and just generally being a nice person. Conversely, running around stealing and murdering is going to put her off, so avoid committing any evil deeds while she’s around. Whenever she wants to talk about something, make sure to choose the dialogue options you think she will like.

As your relationship progresses, you’ll start getting the [FLIRT] dialogue option. Use this every time it comes up for some flirtatious dialogue, and once you’ve used it three times, you’ll eventually get offered the chance to take on the In Memoriam mission. This is a mission specific to Sarah which, when completed, gives you the chance to romance her.

Sarah wants to talk to her former commanding officer. Head to Cassiopeia I in the Cassiopeia system and follow your quest markers until you meet a young girl called Sona at Sarah’s old campsite, the daughter of two of Sarah’s old comrades. You’ll have to collect ten dogtags, and once you collect the all you can finish the quest. Simply select the [ROMANCE] dialogue option at the end of the quest.

Continue raising Sarah’s affinity like before, and eventually you will get the option to choose to commit to a relationship by selecting the [COMMITMENT] dialogue option. Select this and you’ll receive the Commitment: Sarah quest, where you will get married with Aja presiding over it. Follow the quest and head to Paradiso where you’ll finally marry Sarah.

This is the most optimal route to marrying Sarah, but if you don’t select the flirt options or mistakenly do things she dislikes, you’ll still be able to marry her, it might just take a little bit longer.
