Stardew Valley cheats and glitches – infinite stamina, item duplication and more

Looking for some Stardew Valley cheats and glitches? Stardew Valley is one of those games that can take weeks or even months to get anywhere with, and cheats can help speed this up by a lot. This is especially true if you’re on your second or third save and just want to get to the important stuff. That’s why we’ve compiled all the Stardew Valley cheats you’ll need.

Stardview Valley cheats

The best way to use Stardew Valley cheats is using mods, especially the CJB Cheats Menu and CJB Item Spawner. If you’re happy to mod your game to get these cheats, here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

1. Make a Nexus Mods account if you don’t already have one.
2. Download the latest version of the SMAPI Mod Loader for Stardew Valley. Extract the folder and run the .bat file inside
3. Follow the instructions to install SMAPI. When it’s finished, don’t close the window. You will receive the following message: “SMAPI is installed! If you use Steam, set your launch options to enable achievements (see smapi.io/install): “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe” %command%”
4. If you’re using Steam, right-click Stardew Valley in your Library, and select ‘Properties’. Copy and paste the entire message from step 3 and paste it into your launch options.
5. Download the CJB Cheats Menu and CJB Item Spawner mods.
6. Extract both folders into the mods folder found at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods
7. Run Stardew Valley with your new cheats!

All Stardew Valley glitches

Right now, there are six different major glitches that can be used in Stardew Valley. These are:

• Delay sleep
• Out of bounds
• Infinite energy
• Stopping time while fishing
• Galaxy Sword
• Gold Spring Onions
• Item duplication glitch

Delay sleep glitch

If you reach 2am without heading to bed, you’ll pass out and a stranger will take you home in exchange for 10% of your money. Right before you pass out, your character will yawn. Wait for your character to yawn, and then quickly open your journal, stopping you from passing out.

The game will continue to try and make you pass out, but you can keep repeating this to stay awake as many times as you need, letting you rush home to sleep without losing any of your money.

Out of bounds glitch

Head to the very edge of any area and start swinging your tool or weapon. This will edge you forwards slightly, and after doing it enough times you’ll be pushed out of bounds. This can be a fun way to explore the game, but also has its uses, such as to reach fishing bubbles that are slightly too far away.

Infinite energy glitch

This is an extension of the out of bounds cheat. Head to the Spa, and use the out of bounds cheat. From here, head over to the pool and place any post down in the water, and then touch it. You’ll be able to leave, but the game will think that you’re swimming, giving you infinite energy to swing your tools and weapons non-stop.

Stopping time while fishing glitch

To perform this, have an active quest in your journal. As soon as you cast your line, quickly open up your journal and time will freeze, letting you take as long as you want to fish up whatever you happen to catch.

Galaxy Sword glitch

The Galaxy Sword is a powerful late-game weapon, but can be found much earlier than is intended thanks to a simple glitch. Head to Pierre’s General Store and spend 30,000g on the catalogue that lets you buy all floors and wallpapers, and then buy the Green Wallpaper.

For some reason, the game thinks that the Green Wallpaper and the Prismatic Shard, the item required to get the Galaxy Sword, are one and the same. With your wallpaper in hand, head to the pillars in the Calico Desert, and you’ll net yourself an easy Galaxy Sword.

Gold Spring Onions glitch

Gold Spring Onions sell for huge amounts of money, as well as providing more healing and energy. Completely fill up your inventory, making sure you have at least one Gold Spring Onion and zero regular Spring Onions. This will mean when you’re picking your Spring Onions, you can only harvest them if they are Gold ones.

Item duplication glitch

Probably the best cheat of all, the item duplication glitch lets you clone any items, effectively giving you infinite money. You need to name your character with a certain numerical code in square brackets, that corresponds to the Item ID of the item you want to duplicate. Whenever your name appears in dialogue, you will receive the item that you have the Item ID of.

For example, if you name yourself [60][90]109] (the Item IDs corresponding to Emerald, Cactus Fruit, and Ancient Sword), every time your name appears in the dialogue box, you will receive an Emerald, a Cactus Fruit, and an Ancient Sword directly in your inventory.

The easiest way to do this is to talk to Gus as Stardrop Saloon. He says your name near the start of every conversation, letting you spam talking to him to very quickly rack up the items you need.
