All the way in the very east of the Zaton region of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone is an abandoned facility known as the Hydrodynamics Lab. As you explore the compound, you may come across details of a Scientist’s Stash burrowed away in one of the side buildings. No luck though as the door is shut tight with a keypad. There are no environmental clues to go on or markings to guide you towards clues. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Hydrodynamics Lab code in Stalker 2.

Scientist’s Stash code

The code to open the Scientist’s Stash in the Hydrodynamics Lab is 4824. To get the code, there’s a first major clue in the map description for the stash, which says that the combination is on the collar of test subject #48.

Head to the second floor of the main building of the compound and kill the Controller mutant there – test subject #48. A shotgun works well against these psi enemies. The mutant will be accompanied by several zombies that you’ll want to clear out to make life easier. Psi-Block drugs also help to alleviate the Controller’s powers and make taking it down a lot easier.

Once the Controller and the Zombies are all dealt with, loot the Controller’s body to get the Electric Collar. Picking the collar will load a new note into Skif’s PDA that reads: ‘Test Subject#48 (handwritten: 24).’ The two numbers mentioned in the text refer to the code to open the Hydrodynamics Lab door.

Exit the building and make your way over to the lab building in the southwest of the compound. Climb the steps to the entrance then enter the code 4824 into the keypad to unlock the door. Head inside, jump down into the shaft into the center to find the Scientist’s Stash. It contains x2 Anti-Radiation Drugs, x2 Scientific Medkits, and x2 Hercules drugs. Not exactly worth all that trouble in our opinion, but loot is loot.
