Will Spider-Man 2 have DLC?
No, Spider-Man 2 currently has no planned story or side-content DLC after the launch. This is only true at the time of writing before the game has been released. There are, however, some DLC additions you can get if you buy the Deluxe edition of the game, giving you 10 exclusive suits.
While it also isn’t new story content, Insomniac has confirmed that new DLC suits and costumes designed after celebrities will be added to the game at launch and beyond. These are collaborations more than dedicated story or new content introduced in DLC or expansions.
This isn’t to say that Spider-Man 2 won’t ever get any extra downloadable content, and we will monitor any announcements from Insomniac Games and Sony for more information. The previous Spidey game received post-launch content, which means it could well be on the cards for Spider-Man 2, and perhaps is expected at this point. DLC in the past game added new suits and missions to tackle, but all of them were released well after the game was released.
We also know that Insomniac has released standalone expansion games, such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which takes place after the events of the main game and introduces up to a playable Miles. If this is going to be the case for Spider-Man 2 remains to be seen.
It could also be the case that no DLC will be necessary in this game, especially considering how long the story may be and depending on what happens throughout. That’s all you need to know about if Spider-Man 2 will have DLC.
