Our friendly neighbourhood web-swinger is back, but with the game launching on PS5, many are asking is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC?
The superhero sequel has arrived on the PlayStation 5, and as per our Spider-Man 2 review, it seems that Insomniac Games has successfully built upon the foundations of Spider-Man’s dense game-slinging history to build a well crafted sequel with an excellent story. Given the original PS4 release was later remastered for the PS5 and PC, there’s no question as to why players are curious about whether or not the game is coming to PC at some point.
So now as the Spider-Man 2 release time is upon us, and given we know Horizon Forbidden West’s PC port is confirmed to be coming in 2024, what does the future look like for Spidey on PC?
Will Spider-Man 2 be on PC?
If you’re wondering if Spider-Man 2 is going to come to PC – it likely will, as the company’s earnings report earlier this year confirmed it would continue bringing exclusives to PC in the same breath as mentioning the as-then future launch of the superhero sequel. “We are also planning to release a major title, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, this fiscal year, and we aim to continue creating new IP, rolling out catalog titles for PC and strengthening live game service development”
However, it may not arrive for a long while at the very least. PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst spoke in an interview with YouTuber Julien Chieze last October, saying that most exclusives would be on PlayStation for ‘at least a year’ before porting to the PC.
For now, Spider-Man 2 is going to be a PS5 exclusive, which has been confirmed by PlayStation. This comes as a disappointment for not just PC fans, but for PS4 fans too. The original game has become known as one of the PS4’s most impressive titles, and now that the next generation is here, it looks as though the sequel is going to be reserved for the PS5.
Spider-Man 2 PC release date prediction
Do we actually think that Spider-Man 2 is going to come to PC? Well, yes. the first game was remastered for PC, while the Miles Morales story also arrived on PC. However, not for quite a while until after the respective PlayStation releases.

In light of the above, we predict that we could see Spider-Man 2 release on PC sometime in mid-to-late 2024. At first glance, you might think it won’t arrive for two years after the original’s release, however, much of the time spent porting to next-gen has now been done, and there’s likely a working PC engine already. This means the time spent between releases will likely be considerably shorter.
