How to get a house for free in Sims 4
To get free houses and lots in the Sims 4, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the cheat console by hitting Shift + Ctrl + C or
- Type in freerealestate on
- Hit enter to turn on the cheat
- Choose any lot or house
This lets you purchase any lot without worrying about the price. You simply get the house and lot for free, and your household funds will remain the same. This is especially helpful if you’ve built the house before creating the family that will live there. You can, of course, move the household onto a different lot and earn the money to buy the lot, but who wants to do that?
When you type in the cheat, make sure you get confirmation that free real estate is on by the game bringing up a box below the cheat console that will say ‘Free Real Estate on’. If this doesn’t appear, you likely just typed the cheat in wrong.
