The Protagonist Juliana and Florian
Juliana and Florian are both students of either Naranja Academy in Pokémon Scarlet or Uva Academy in Pokémon Violet. Both are wearing similar outfits that represent the school uniform based on the version of the game you get. Players will be able to customize these characters in game, changing the facial looks, hair and even clothing.

Yes, whether you decide to be Juliana or Florian, like the previous Pokemon games, you will have a rival. The rival in Scarlet and Violet is Nemona and will be the rival in the storyline Victory Road, this story line is the one where players battle the 8 gym leaders and then the elite four.
