Wattrel is a rather unique Pokemon, due to the fact not only is it a flying type, but it’s also an electric type Pokemon, two types that are polar opposites. To top it off, Wattel’s evolution, Kilowattrel, is quickly becoming a fan favorite for its usefulness and looks.

Where to find Wattrel

The thing about Wattrell is that they typically fly above the sea, which means you’re very likely to find one in the following areas:

• Porto Marinada 
• East Paldean Sea 
• South Paldean Sea 
• West Paldean Sea

In addition, they also sometimes land in the following areas where they can also be found:

• West Paldean Sea
• East Paldean Sea
• North Paldean Sea

They can also be found on beaches, although your best bet is definitely looking for them while they’re flying above the sea.

How to Evolve Wattrel into Kilowattrel

Just like a majority of other Pokemon in Pokemon Violet and Scarlet, Wattrel can be evolved into Kilowattrel naturally simply by leveling it up to level 25. There are no items or other requirements for this specific Pokemon.

Now, there are multiple ways to level up your Wattrel, with the most common one being battling trainers and wild Pokemon to farm experience. However, an easier way to do it is to use EXP candies, granted, of course, that you have enough of them in your inventory.

If you don’t have any EXP candies in your inventory, then the best way to farm them is by taking part in Terra Raid Battles. Every one of them has a star rating, with one being the lowest and five being the highest.

The higher the star rating the more difficult the raid will be, but the better EXP candy you’ll get as a reward for completing it.

While Wattrel is a good Pokemon to have in your party, Kilowattrel is an absolute powerhouse when used properly. The combination of high powered electric and flying type moves means you’re able to go against various types of Pokemon with a type advantage.

Additionally, one of the abilities Kilowattrel has is volt absorb, which makes it so it absorbs ¼ of its maximum HP when hit by an electric attack, including attacks like thunder wave which doesn’t even deal any damage.
