If you want a chance at fighting and catching many wild Terastallized Pokemons in Scarlet and Violet, you need to know how to participate in the Tera Raid Battles.

- While Travelling through the region of Paldea, seek out shining crystals that act as your gateway to these Tera Raid Battles.
- The colors of these crystals depend upon the Tera Type of the Pokemons you fight through them.
- Interact with the crystal and you can start your battle alone or with a group of friends.
- Fight and defeat the Pokemons in these raids within the time limit.
- Upon success, you can throw your Pokeball and catch the defeated Pokemon.
- Victory grants you several other perks, which vary with each Tera Raid Battle.

The limited-time Tera Raid Battle Events will be added to your game once you download the latest Poke Portal News. You can do so by going to the Mystery Gift option in the game’s menu and clicking on the Poke Portal News button. Bear in mind that your Nintendo Switch needs to have an internet connection to be able to download the Poke Portal News in your game.
Moreover, while having a paid Nintendo Switch Online Membership is not required to access the Tera Raids in your game, you’ll need it if you want to play co-op online with other Trainers.
