Pokemon Scarlet and Violet released on November 18, and among other exciting features and game formats, they have introduced Tera Raid Battles. This battle format lets you fight and tame special Terastallized Pokemons found in the game, be it solo or co-op, with up to 3 friends.
These Raid Battles are similar to the raids from Pokemon Sword and Shield, however, all Pokeman Trainers can seamlessly attack without having to wait for their turn. The raids are a lot of fun when experienced with your friends, and they’ll be your best source for adding strong Tera Type Pokemons to your collection.
This guide explains how to join Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, what rewards you can expect, and the major time-limited Tera Raid Battle Events that are being released post-launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How To Join Tera Raid Battles
If you want a chance at fighting and catching many wild Terastallized Pokemons in Scarlet and Violet, you need to know how to participate in the Tera Raid Battles.
(Green Crystal Symbolizing A Grass Tera Type Pokemon)
- While Travelling through the region of Paldea, seek out shining crystals that act as your gateway to these Tera Raid Battles.
- The colors of these crystals depend upon the Tera Type of the Pokemons you fight through them.
- Interact with the crystal and you can start your battle alone or with a group of friends.
- Fight and defeat the Pokemons in these raids within the time limit.
- Upon success, you can throw your Pokeball and catch the defeated Pokemon.
- Victory grants you several other perks, which vary with each Tera Raid Battle.
The Pokemons found in these raids can be fierce and challenging. Therefore, you require solid stats on your own Pokemons and good coordination with your fellow Trainers to win. To make victory easier, you can use three kinds of cheers in these raids that boost attack, attack speed, defense, defense speed, and healing of all of your allied Pokemons.
