Wondering how to get Lucky Pals in Palworld? You’ve come to the right place! Palworld has been accused of being a Pokémon knock-off. While that’s pretty far from the truth, there are some undeniable similarities. That includes Lucky Pals. Finding one fittingly requires some luck. Here’s how you can find these rare Pals.

What are Lucky Pals?

Lucky Pals are Palworld’s version of shiny Pokemon. Shiny or Lucky creatures have a slightly different coloring to them and are exceptionally rare. They also come with great traits and better stats, like a boost in work speed. In every Pokemon game, they’re the thing everyone is searching for, and that seems to be true in Palworld thus far as well.

How to find Lucky Pals in Palworld

To find Lucky Pals in Palworld, you need only look! These will spawn as any normal Pals do, but with a slight difference. These “shiny Pals” will look different from regular Pals first and foremost, so that different-colored Lamball isn’t a glitch. Just go browsing around Palpagos Island and see if you find any!

Fortunately, they’re fairly hard to miss. When you see them, bells will sound. This is similar to the sparkle one might hear when a shiny Pokémon arrives in one of those games. The bells sound effect will continue to play and get louder the closer you get.

Another way to denote Lucky Pals is the size. They’re usually a good bit bigger than their counterparts. A shiny Anubis will be bigger than a regular one. The Lucky Pal appearance rate is pretty low, so be sure to capture your Lucky Pals in Pal Spheres whenever you see one. This version of a shiny Pokemon will go into your Palbox then.

Zach’s Tips

It’s worth noting that these Pals will look different in your Palbox as well. The shiny icon will be next to their icon. This way, you’ll know which one is which and won’t accidentally do something you’ll regret with it.

Every single Pal out there can be lucky with only two exceptions: bosses and humans will not be lucky. Pocketpair hasn’t introduced shiny bosses yet, but the game is in early access so it might happen eventually.

Furthermore, Lucky Pals, since they often come with attack power boosts and other increases, are really good to use. Whether they’re good for combat or as a base worker, they will get an advantage by being Lucky since they’re usually stronger Pals than their regular counterparts.

How rare is a Lucky Pal? Lucky Pal odds explored

Right now, there are no official shiny odds on Lucky Pals. The spawn rate for shiny Pokemon is often known. For example, the shiny frequency in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was a stunning 1/4096 without any sort of boosts. It appears to be more common than that in Palworld, but there’s no clearly defined statistic on that front yet. The randomness has worked out well so far, though.

Can you breed Palworld’s Lucky Pals?

Yes, you can breed lucky Pals in Palworld and the lucky trait will be passed down to the offspring. They, however, will not retain the Big Lucky Pal size, but they do remain lucky. For a full outlook on breeding, check out our guide.
