The Modern Warfare 3 season 4 release date will launch in May, and the date in mind might be correct if the current in-game timer for the season 3 Battle Pass is to be believed. While Season 3 has been ongoing since April 3, we can probably expect to see season 4 launch later in May 2024. Typically, MW 3 seasons last roughly two months, meaning we’re getting closer to the Modern Warfare 3 season 4 release date.

At the moment, we currently expect the Modern Warfare 3 season 4 release date to be Wednesday, May 29 2024. While this is merely a guess, it is informed by the timer currently running on the in-game Battle Pass for season 3. The current Battle Pass is set to end on May 28, which follows the same pattern of previous battle passes ending right before a new season begins. As such, we can expect to see MW 3 season 4 release date fall on May 29. With no word from Sledgehammer Games on the date, we can only speculate based on previous seasons and in-game information.

At the time of writing, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have not shared any information about new weapons coming in season 4. As we approach the end of May, we will likely hear about what is in stock. Several leaks have been posted about the next season, but they should always be taken with a pinch of salt. 

If the leaks from Charlie Intel are to be believed, we will see the following weapons added in season 4: the STG44, which is an assault rifle from the older Call of Duty games. The Kar98k rifle is another weapon from the World War era CoD games that might make an appearance as well as the Spas-12 shotgun. These are merely leaks, so we will have to wait until an official announcement before we know for sure.

Modern Warfare 3 season 4 new content speculation

As with a new season for any game, we can expect to see huge changes coming when MW 3 season 4 launches. Season 3, for example, added Snoop Dog as a playable character in the Battle Pass, which goes to show you how much Sledgehammer Games is willing to add to its famed shooter game. Granted, the Reloaded update was larger than most previous seasons, so there is always the chance that season 4 could be more tame.

We know for sure that we can expect to see a new Battle Pass, new multiplayer maps, new operators, new weapons, new game modes, changes to the zombies modes, and limited-time events, and there is speculation that a Fallout crossover event may be coming. As ever, we can probably expect to see new killstreaks added along with new perks and equipment. Until we get official word from the developers, we can only speculate as to what these new additions will look like.
